On February 5, 2011, I hiked up to Tangerine Falls with my entire family on an absolutely perfect day in Sourthern California. Specifically, the trailhead is located in Montecito which is just south of Santa Barbara. Unlike my first card, this area is heavily populated on the weekend. Follow a gentle stream along a nicely shaded trail for the first mile. The journey is quite simple at first and you will soon reach some small caves that children love to play in. However, tricky rock scrambling is required to reach the top. My kids and dogs were up for the challenge but this was pushing them to their limits.
